Hi all!

I'm attempting to put together a video trailer for our charity anthology book, In Vein. Please make sure you get me a pic and a 2 sentence teaser for your story asap so I can get working on it. Thanks so much!

PS-If you're interested in another anthology, my facebook group, Supernatural Writer's Group is doing a charity anthology for The National Children's Cancer Center. It's going to be an 18 and under book which isn't just for little kids but tweens too so try your hand out at something new. It's got to be supernatural/paranormal related. Word count is 0-5,000 words. We have the great Don Semora who has offered to create us a custom cover for free for the book. Let me know if you are interested. Submission deadline isn't until Nov.1st for a Christmas release. Hope to have you all participate!

Anthology update!

Hi all!

Just wanted to give everyone the latest update! I'm extending the submission deadline for the vampire charity anthology, In Vein until September 1st. I know some people needed a little more time so I thought I'd extend it for all! Hope this helps and if you know anyone who can still whip together a short story for the book, send them my way. The stories have been flowing in and it's coming together nicely so far. This is going to be a great book and it's thanks to all of you! Thank you all for participating! Let's raise some money for the St. Jude's kids!

It's almost that time!

Hi all!

Just wanted to keep you all in the loop. You now have just over a month to complete your submission for the charity vampire anthology, In Vein. Some of you have already sent your short stories to me and they are looking great! I'm very excited about how this is going to turn out. Please pass this project along to others who might be interested in submitting a short story. I know they'd only have a month but it can be done. There is no minimum word count. Other than my story, which is going last in the book, I'm going to be putting all your names in a hat and the order I pull them out is the order they'll be placed in the book. Just wanted to let you know that I'm trying to be as fair as possible. I'm so excited! I started working on the beginning of the book (copyright, required paragraph, table of contents set up, etc) and it makes me happy to think that you are all so giving in helping me give back to the St. Jude's Children. After the book is out on Amazon (paperback & Kindle) and on Smashwords, you will each get a code for a free copy on Smashwords, that way you can pick your reading method (mobi, epub, etc). I'll need each of your emails so that when we do get sales and I send money to St. Jude's, I can email you and give you an update on what we're doing for them. The book is going to be published under my Vampirical Lyrical Publishing so I have a separate account from my books just for this book.

To submit your stories, please email them to vampiricallyrical@gmail.com. If you'd like to include a few words about yourself (short bio), I'll include that in each section before your story. If not, that's fine too.

Well, email me if you have any questions and to submit your bios and story. Talk to you all soon.

Charity Blog Button

Hello,
My kind friend Ann Snizek created the below button for those of us who are part of this project to use.

Please don't forget that submissions are due by August 1st, 2013 so I have time to read them, put them together and publish the book on October 31st, 2013 (Happy Halloween!) I'm so excited about this project and thank all that are willing to participate in it. It's such a worthwhile cause.

If you have your stories done ahead of time, please feel free to send them over. Make sure you've edited and reedited them yourself before sending to me. Please send documents in .word. .doc or .docx. I use word 07 to do all my editing. I know, I'm a little behind the times but I'm getting a new laptop soon (can't wait) and will get the newest software installed in it at that point. Then I just have to figure out how to use the new'fang'led thing...LOL!

If you know other Authors that would be willing to write a short story for this book, please pass them along my way or have them post on here. We are open to all Authors. Just remember the guidelines:
1. No erotica, rape, incest, beastiallity, etc.
2. Must be vampire related
3. 30,000-50,000 words
4. Don't forget your Dedication/Acknowledgements/short bio(optional) page which you may choose to include in the beginning of your story along with a list of your other works.

I look forward to working with you all!

New publishing company!

Hi all!

I just wanted to let you know that vampiricallyrical is now also a publishing company. For a minimal fee, your book will be published on three major venues in both paperback and ebook. You will retain all the rights to your story and I will only take 25% of the royalties (after the vendor takes their fees) which is much lower than most traditional companies that take 40%. Please let me know if you or you know anyone who would be interested in my services. Thanks all!

Movin' right along!

Hi all!
I just wanted to let you know that we are movin' right along (good phrase for a Muppets song...LOL) on the charity anthology project. Here's the cover:

I've had many authors contact me and say they'd like to participate so we are good. There's always room for more so if you have an author friend who'd like to submit one, that's fine too. I'm so excited about this project and St. Jude's. So, keep writing and don't forget the deadline for submission is August 1st by midnight. Talk to you all soon!
